In Australia, the new Australian film series Flutter Entertainment’s new adult entertainment channel, Flutter, has launched on Adult Swim, and it’s already had success.
The channel has been in the works for about six months, with the first two episodes of the first season airing last week.
“It was really hard to do,” said Flutter’s founder, Matt Dolan.
“We have had to work really hard in terms of getting it out there, getting it to the audience and getting it across the channel, but it’s really exciting.”
The show is currently running in a limited time, with its first two seasons running to March 12 and March 18 respectively.
Flutter is a new venture for Dolan, who said he was drawn to the idea of creating a channel for Australian audiences, as the country is struggling to find its footing in the digital age.
“A lot of our customers are coming to Australia for work or for holidays, so there’s not a lot of opportunity for us to connect with them in a very personal way,” Dolan said.
“I think that’s something that we’re trying to make sure we capture.”
Dolan also explained that he wanted to make a “positive, adult” channel that was aimed at younger viewers, as he felt there was a lack of such a channel in Australia.
“You know, it’s a really important country for us,” Dola said.
Dolan’s other channels, Fluffys Comedy Network and Fluffydies, have had success in the United States, where Flutter was created.
“The thing that’s really interesting is that Flutter seems to be more relevant now than it was six months ago, and that’s partly because we have a larger audience,” Dameron said.
“[Adult Swim has] this huge audience that’s watching a lot more of their favourite TV shows than it ever has, and so Flutter really brings that into our universe.”
Flutter has been released on AdultSwim.com, where users can also purchase the channel and get access to its full content.
Adult Swim has also announced a new adult channel for Australia, Flutters Comedy Network.
Flutters is a full-length, independent adult comedy show featuring comedians including Ricky Gervais, Robyn, Matt Smith and more.
