5.5 million homes will have indoor entertainment systems by 2021.
According to new research from research firm IHS, that number is more than three times the number of indoor games and entertainment experiences that were installed in homes in 2014.
The study found that indoor games, such as tennis, soccer, and golf, accounted for nearly half of the $7.4 billion in spending in homes with an indoor entertainment system in 2020.
IHS estimates that indoor entertainment could grow to $12.3 billion in 2021, or more than double the number that was installed in 2020 and nearly double the $8.3 million spent in 2019.
The number of homes with indoor entertainment devices grew by more than 300,000 units in the first quarter of 2021, from 5.2 million to 5.4 million, the company said.
While the number and growth of homes equipped with indoor gaming systems has been on the rise, the IHS study also found that the majority of these devices were sold in smaller homes with fewer than 10,000 square feet.
IHS also said that the number, size, and price of indoor entertainment equipment was the primary driver of the expansion in indoor entertainment.
According to the report, the number in 2020 was down from 7.4 to 6.4 percent, while the number was down by almost 70,000 from the number installed in 2019 to the number purchased in 2021.
“We’re not seeing the same kind of growth that we saw in the last few years with new homes being built, but it’s still going to be a huge growth for the industry in the coming years,” IHS vice president of research Chris Smith told Forbes.
With more people moving into the country and businesses expanding to the West Coast, more and more households are going to need a way to entertain.
However, many of the newer systems are coming with a price tag that may make them more expensive to maintain and maintain the right setup.
There are some smart, and more expensive, ways to get a system working, but you’ll have to pay for that if you’re a small home.
IHS says that the most common home entertainment solutions, including corded systems, are costing between $5,000 and $10,000.
One of the more popular and expensive options is the corded gaming system from Sony, which is rated for $8,000-$12,000 with a 2-year warranty.
Another popular option is the $200+ Playstation 4 with 4-channel speakers, which cost $300-$350, according to the company.
If you’re looking to upgrade your system, the best solution is to take advantage of an additional $100+ per month subscription to play online.
If you already have a home entertainment system, you’ll likely be better off with a smart home solution, like smart lighting, thermostats, or smart appliances that will control and control your home from a connected remote control.
