By The Next Spreaker article Posted September 06, 2018 07:20:08A female inmate who was raped by a guard at a Texas prison has spoken out about her ordeal, and said she wants to help other female inmates who have been abused by guards.
She was arrested after a guard raped her in July.
The guards had previously been found guilty of raping other inmates, but their cases were dropped.
According to a statement released by the Office of the State Attorney, the guard, Jason Clark, was accused of having sex with her when she was 15 years old and that he had a sexual relationship with her as a 13-year-old.
She had been in a women’s prison in Houston, and was sent to the women’s facility on a sex offender registry.
She said that she had a long-term relationship with the guard but that it ended in July when she said he assaulted her, causing her to go into shock.
She also said that the guard had tried to rape her a number of times before, but she was unable to convince him to stop.
She spoke about her experiences at a press conference held at the prison in which she said that her rape at the hands of Clark, and other attacks she said she was denied due to her gender, caused her to lose hope and drive her to start a petition to get more women in prison.
She has been told that her release date is still pending, but that she wants the men who raped her to be held accountable for their actions.
The women’s incarceration rate is high in Texas, and it is estimated that women make up less than a quarter of the state’s prison population.
