Amazon Instant TV, the $60-per-month streaming service launched last year in the United States, is set to launch nationwide in India on March 6.
Amazon Instant TV is available in many Indian cities and states, and is currently available only in select cities in India.
The service is also available in other countries such as Turkey, Australia, Brazil, and Singapore.
Amazon is planning to roll out Amazon Instant on a wide range of platforms including smartphones, tablets, and computers.
In India, Amazon is currently planning to launch its Instant Video app on smartphones in the coming days, said an Amazon India spokesperson on Tuesday.
While the app is not yet available in the country, it is expected to launch later this month.
In addition to streaming video, Amazon Instant is available on its own dedicated website, which also includes a shopping portal and a news section.
The company has already launched its online video offering in India with an impressive 6 million views and over 1.5 million likes on Facebook.
In September, Amazon launched its own app, the Prime Video, which was free.
